¥1.59 Billion Investment for EV in Guangdong 2011
February 15, 2011 No CommentsAs an emerging leading province of auto manufacturing, Guangdong plans to invest more than 10 billion yuan into the industry, according to the Development and Reform Commission of Guangdong.
Statistics revealed that 1,326,700 cars were made in Guangdong in 2010, which was the second largest output nationwide.
According to its new plan, new manufacturing bases will be built in Fo’shan and Shenzhen. Also more than 10 billion yuan will be invested into projects such as FAW-Volkswagen in Fo’shan and Chang’an-Peugeot in Shenzhen.
In terms of new energy vehicles, 1.59 billion yuan will be put into several projects, including Yintong EV in Zhuhai, the new EV manufacturing base in Shancheng District, Fo’shan, and Green Wheel EV in Fo’shan.
